One month rent of 200 (one time payment) plus a deposit of 1675 and you own this amazing fully built-out off-grid vanlife setup in a classic 1998 Dodge B150 short-body title in hand . Van-life build out in 2024. Probably shouldn’t drive on highway due to some chassis damage from rust but certainly the engine and transmission are great. This vehicle is perfect for Red Hook and easily can move with street cleaning etc.. or move to the van life street in Williamsburg. The interior is a complete livable micro-home: solar, batteries, water, ventilation, bed, storage. Repair the chassis damage for $800 to bring it back to perfect running order. The damage could be fixed by custom welding I’m told. I’m the second owner, the first owner was a mechanic, was his baby. Transmission and engine are sound at 121k miles. New spark plugs, new power steering, good tires, and always serviced.
Custom locking surfboard rack with locked wetsuit drying rack incorporated into the solar panel rack. Also custom hooks on rear to hold a folding bike.
Winter in this isn’t bad, vehicle heater works great, plus you can run a heating blanket off the batteries and do very well. Extreme cold, use a radiant propane heater safe for interiors and you are set.
Also, shown in photos, brackets for hammock chair (shown) and included.
The entire interior was insulated including the floor with a combination of blue foam, R max, and rock wool. Also, created custom reflective insulated blinds for all windows, plus extra large insulated panels to cover entire doors and windows in extreme cold. I did insulate all stringers and door panels (spray foam and rock wool).
One option for a private bathroom, is simply buying a small portable RV toilet for $60, and empty the small reservoir each week at a public restroom.
Bed slides out and cushions combine to make an extra wide bed. Back of the bed built with aromatic cedar. Storage behind bed with racks. Storage under the bed too. Closet has hanging clothes rack the entire length and shelves underneath.
Ventilation includes two covered DC fans in the roof (shown) with water proof covers. These are wired into the two Lithium batteries (one shown). These fans pull air through the main hatch (shown) and work very well in the summer.
Delivery available within 50 miles. However will need payment in person before.
