Location:
At the south and east corner of Prospect Park, Brooklyn NYC. Two blocks away from the Park and the subway station (corner of Bedford and Winthrop). On the Q line at Parkside Ave stop also near B,4,5 subway line. 25 min to Manhattan 14th street union square by subway (5 stops).
Your room:
It is spacious (12 ft x12 ft), with 3 windows facing east and south, a lot of morning light, hardwood floor, two wall closets, high ceiling, There is NO furniture in the room. (disregard the furniture in the pictures) The living room and kitchen are small. Shared bathroom.
Your roommate:
I am an Asian female, in my forties. I am an animator and I work at an art college. I work a full time job during the school semesters. During the summer months I work at home on my art. I keep the apt clean, very laidback and fun to be with. I am on the quiet side, very considerate, not big with parties. Unfortunately I can’t accommodate pets since I have asthma.
The building:
I am on the top floor of a 6-floor apartment building with elevator, well maintained. The neighbors are very friendly. There are self-paid washing machines and dryers in the basement.
The neighborhood:
It is very safe. I have lived here for ten years and come home at late hours. There are lots of markets and shops, bars and good restaurants. Two major banks are within walking distance. The biggest bonus is the gorgeous prospect park with a beautiful lake two blocks away. You will love the swans here. The Brooklyn Botanic Garden is a 15 min walk through the park, and further are the Brooklyn Museum and Central Library. There is a farmers’ market in the park every Saturday.
Share utility (gas + electricity + internet) around $100/month
$600 Security deposit is needed to rent
