Sloane Stecker Physical Therapy has an exciting opportunity available for a full-time Scheduling Assistant in our Irvington location. This position requires some evenings and weekends.
The Scheduling Assistant is responsible for receiving and directing a high volume of calls. The role will supply information to callers, attend to patients and walk-ins, and handle inquiries on the phone and in person.
-Answer high volume of phone calls in a timely and professional manner.
-Assist callers with scheduling and rescheduling appointments.
-Answer questions and requests in a positive, professional manner.
-Responsible for clear, written communication and chart documentation.
-Manage a high-volume workload, effectively prioritize tasks to remain organized, promote prompt and courteous service, and in compliance with Sloane Stecker policies.
-Obtain and confirm pertinent billing and demographic information, accurately enter patient and insurance information into EMR, and complete the patient registration process in an accurate manner.
-Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
-Navigate insurance company websites to obtain authorizations and confirm insurance coverage.
-Perform other duties as assigned or directed to ensure smooth operation of the organization.
