As a Director at Bright Horizons at TimberRidge Family Center, you will find that every day brings something new. You'll have the opportunity to inspire teachers, nurture young minds and partner with families and clients to deliver world-class early care and education programs.

Bright Horizons at TimberRidge Family Center is more than just a daycare center. It is a NAEYC-accredited community-based child care, early education center and Preschool located in Armonk. The center looks and feels like a home with a beautiful wood staircase and loft inside. Outdoor play spaces surround the center with natural trees and wooded areas.

You will have the opportunity to lead with HEART and maintain an inclusive and professional work environment that supports our commitment to excellence. You will also be able to use your professional skills to support the day-to-day business of your center by marketing programs to the community, maintaining financial records and developing budgets. This essential role is important to maintaining our high standards for programming and creating a unique center culture and community.

  • Bachelor's degree in ECE, Elementary Education or related field required; High School diploma/GED required
  • 3-5 years of management/leadership experience
  • A combination of infant, toddler or preschool teaching experience
  • Well versed in NAEYC accreditation and licensing standards
  • Strong leadership, supervisory and customer service skills and ability to create/maintain partnerships with families and staff
  • Ability to lead staff in implementing a developmentally appropriate curriculum
  • Strong organizational and communication skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks or crisis situations effectively
  • Capacity to understand and manage center financial duties
  • Computer literacy
  • Experience working in an inclusive work environment and managing across differences
  • Must meet state educational and licensing requirements for director; additional center/school requirements may apply.
