Selected testing assistant will use one of their thumbs to repeatedly activate a smartphone via its fingerprint sensor. Their tested thumb will be first dipped in various household items like honey, soy sauce, glass cleaner, shortening, etc. before attempting to unlock the phone where they have registered their fingerprint. The success or failure of each trial will then be marked with a check on a sheet of paper.
