This is an 4.75"H Hummel called Merry Wanderer. Based on the TM it looks to have been produced somewhere from 1979-1990.

Absence of a "Bee" The trademark used during the 1979-1990 period (known to collectors as TMK-6 or the "No Bee" mark) notably did not include any form of the stylized bee and "V" symbol that appeared on earlier and later marks.

The number "81" incised on the base likely refers to the year of production (1981), which falls within this date range. He is in perfect condition with no chips or breaks. It has been packed safely away for years.
