It is available and will only communicate through CL email. Antique cast iron decorative piece made in Brooklyn, NY by Peter Timmes & Son (stated on center part). Other pieces of his work (garden benches) are in the Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Brooklyn Museum. Active 1878–1903.
I thought it was part of a post and chain border, surround, fence for a burial plot, but have also seen the same motif used in his American Gothic Revival Bench (1895). Purchased it at upstate auction over 20 years ago. HEAVY piece, can be hung for repurpose (altered to hang). 42" long x 18" wide. It is the real deal, as it is aged. VERY COOL PIECE FOR A BROOKLYNITE!
