Up for sale is a smoothly playing tabletop Victor Victrola phonograph with a cleaned and rebuilt two-spring motor and all original parts fully intact. This a VV-VI with a serial number of 252867 F, putting the manufacture date in late 1916 or early 1917.
This motor has been fully cleaned, right down to the grooves in the gears. The motor springs were scraped, re-greased and re-packed, so the motor spins consistently, with no thumps, bumps or speed variations you often find in these old phonographs. The nickel-plated parts are all in good to very good condition, working properly with moderate wear. This includes new felt on the turntable and an Exhibition reproducer that has new gaskets and puts out sweet, crisp and clear sounds! The cabinet finish is in very nice condition, with no notable flaws other than the left front door, which does not close completely (minor Issue). All you need to do is wind up this phonograph and play it! This would be ideal for someone who wants a piece of history or just like to collect old, windup phonographs.
I will included some records and needles, if you'd like, to get you started.
I am asking $225, with no reasonable offer rejected. This is available for local pickup. I also can meet a buyer at a mutually convenient place. I'm located about 20 minutes north of The Bronx.
