I bought an American made Fender Jazz bass back in 1997 it was already fitted
with these pick ups. So I’m guessing 1996 vintage? The other modification along
the way was installing a concentric EMG BTC (Bass/Treble control) system to go
with the active pick ups sometime in the mid 2000’s. It was a game changer when
it came to the tone. They gave the bass a beautiful warm and pure sound.
The volume pots are original. I wanted something different so I recently installed
something else, leaving these Pick ups + tone controls up for sale.
If you want to try something new on your Fender J.B. or a Squire J.B. or anything
else that takes the same style Pickups these will serve you well.
I can furnish more photos from when I removed them so you can scope out the wiring
and I have the paper work for the EMG-BTC system to.
