Pioneer SX950 receiver in excellent condition. Most of the transistors have been upgraded to modern versions and almost all electrolytic capacitors have been replaced with audio grade capacitors. The capacitors and transistors that are most likely to be the cause of needed repairs have all been upgraded with new parts. Some restorers replace all transistors and capacitors, but some of the parts have specifications that are not considered a direct replacement part for the part being replaced, and I feel could affect the original warm and full sound that these receivers had from the factory. Some parts need to be upgraded because capacitors and transistors do deteriorate over time. With the many upgrades that were done on this unit, I feel it is ready to provide many more years of music enjoyment. This unit is in very good to excellent condition for its age. I do have the switch covers that are missing.
There some scratches and scrapes on the top of the face plate as shown in the pictures. They cannot be removed without damage to the finish. This unit is rated at 85 watts per channel. All the specifications are available on the internet.
