It was hanging over the bar between 2 mirrors.
It hung at our farm in Richmondville, NY till my father died and I adopted it in 1976.
Its been hanging in my living room for 43 years and I can part with it to someone that will appreciate it and value it as much as I.
E. Stahl is a well known artist that was born in 1909. I know this because the Newark, N.J. museum gave me his info.
He worked with all the best Hudson river artists and also studied in Europe, France...... if I remember.
He has works in museums in watercolor. This is his only known oil painting known. He painted it when he was 18 years old and gave it to the Tavern owner in leu of an enormous bar bill he owed.
The painting is 98 years old in the original form and frame.
Its been in a temperature controlled home and smoke free.
It was titled Pan
