An accordion-book illustrating one of Perrault’s famous tales using only symbols
A bright and colorful visual reinterpretation of Cinderella by the noted Swiss artist, graphic designer Warja Lavater (1913-2007) who was known for her series of fairy tales told in symbols and lithographed into folding books. Her first accordion-folding book was published in 1962 and was titled "William Tell." Lavater is considered to be an early artist working in the artists' books genre.
This book is quite rare and is considered a work of art. It is in excellent condition, though there is a slight water stain on the bottom right corner of the cover.
