The original Radeon HD7970 release clock specs are as follows:
GPU Core: 925Mhz
Mem Clock: 1,375Mhz
These new clocks in the modded BIOS are as follows:
GPU Core: 1.1Ghz (1,100Mhz)
Mem Clock: 1.6Ghz (1,600Mhz)
MSI has released many different types of factory overclocked GPU's, but none as bad-a$$ as these because I modded the bios with VideoBiosEditor and ATI-WinFlash.
You don't even need MSI Afterburner running to have a decent fan curve to keep them cool. I re-wrote the curves in the BIOS!
They can overclock to 1,175 core & 1,700 mem if you want to push it, just keep them in a cool case and environment.
But at 1.1 & 1.6ghz, they'll run all day.
Each card will need 200 - 220w on full tilt.
Regular clocks would yield 180w or less.
Two of the cards come in the original box.
They are the Boost Edition variants.
The other card is a non Boost Edition.
But all three have the same bios, and perform identically as they all took the flashed specs perfectly upon testing and use over the time of ownership.
Reason for selling is that I'm decommissioning some of my old retro PC's to make space for work.
I am including everything in the pics (except the cat). So you'll get 3 x Crossfire bridges as well.
Along with some documentation, Driver disc, and some power cables/display adapters.
Hope these find a good home. They have treated me very well.
All are freshly re-pasted and baked back in with testing in MSI Kombustor. (Noctua NTH1. Which is better for GPU dies than using the thin NTH2).
