Clean, considerate LI engineer looking to spend time closer to NYC (NYC / Nassau / Hudson Valley)

Most of the time, when I am not traveling, I live in eastern Long Island. At this time I would like to temporarily move closer to NYC, in order to do interviews and meetings with prospective clients. As such I am looking for just a room to rent, initially for just one month as a trial period, but if I like it enough I might want to return next year for a longer period of time
My ideal locations are Manhattan, Queens, or Brooklyn, but I am ALSO open to Nassau County or even the upstate counties of Westchester, Rockland, Putnam, or Orange... as long as the location is relatively close to a train station, since I would be traveling into the City almost every day.
Feel free to call or text, and in either case, please advise price, terms, and description of any other house mates (their personalities and schedules).
