St. John's Residence & School for Boys is seeking an enthusiastic and well rounded individual to join the St. John's Family in Rockaway Park. This rewarding position is a flexible 35-hours per week with some evenings. A minimum BA degree in related field is required, child welfare experience is a plus. TCI/ SCM training also required.
Chooses appropriate training methods per training assessment and mandated legal requirements.
Maps out, designs and develops training materials, programs and schedules for annual and on-going training needs; in-house or out-sourced delivery with a focus on Therapeutic Crisis Intervention and Safe Crisis Management.
Direct, validate and guide performance of subcontracted training courses & associated processes/ actions to ensure all is accomplished in accordance to contract, company policy and training processes, procedures and technical requirements.
Conducts agency wide assessments/ analyses (for both training and quality improvement) and identifies skills, knowledge, gaps and outcomes of areas/ data that need addressing.
Develops, promotes and facilitates training models tailored to the needs of staff from a variety of disciplines while delivering training in creative and effective ways that engage participants in the learning process.
Meets with all level staff as necessary regarding training, quality improvement measures and client concerns.
Partners with internal stakeholders and liaise with other professionals regarding training and quality improvement methods design.
