Looking for fun, affordable and convenient guitar lessons? I'm always accepting students in-person at my Forest Hills location, as well as online via Teams or Zoom.
I've been playing guitar for 30+ years, and teaching full-time for 20+ years. I received my BM in Jazz Studies from The University of the Arts in Philadelphia in 2005, and since then, I've helped guitarists of all ages and experience levels reach their goals, in both private and group settings. I've also taught beginner through intermediate bass, as well as music theory and songwriting.
Since guitar is 100% my livelihood and my passion, I put as much time and effort as humanly possible into helping my students develop their ability and voice on the instrument. What you'll get when you sign up from me is nothing less than my total dedication to guiding you in the most effective ways possible, regardless of where you are (if anywhere) in your pursuit of musicianship.
Respond to this ad with your full name, level of experience and - if not a beginner - a list of your goals, and a link to your playing, if possible. I'll get back to you quickly with my lesson policies and pricing! (You can also message me from my website.)
"Brian is an excellent instructor at any level. Scales, harmonics, rhythm, and lead playing were among the subjects we addressed. Throughout, I took online lessons and improved my guitar skills significantly." - Aliyah Hariprasad, Queens, NYC (Google review)
"I took lessons with Brian for over a year and found my playing skills increased greatly. Brian took the time to figure out what my individual goals were as a player and tailored our lessons towards those goals. Brian is truly a master musician and he is able to teach more difficult music concepts in a way that makes sense. Due to COVID-19 our lessons have been online but Brian was able to be just as effective an instructor through video lessons. If you're considering taking lessons at any level I definitely recommend working with Brian." - Steven F. (Yelp review)
