Up for sale is a RARE 1989 Carvin Ultra V in all black with the coveted lawsuit Jackson-style pointy headstock. This is the LAST year they produced these guitars with the pointy headstock, and as a result have become collector’s items. This axe is 100% stock and comes with original heavy-duty hardshell case.
This V absolutely screams and can do it all - gut-busting chugs, face-melting leads, crystalline cleans, and anywhere in between with a whole lot of personality. The fretwork is immaculate with super low action, and the intonation is dialed spot-on with the Schaller roller bridge. The premium quality ebony fretboard is jet-black and a sight to behold. Currently set up for D standard tuning.
This guitar has normal dings you’d find on a 37-year old guitar - it’s not a closet queen and has been gigged. In full transparency, it appears there was a small repair many years ago on the side of the fretboard where it meets the nut - you cannot feel it while playing, and it has been 100% stable the entire time I’ve owned it. See pictures for details.
This guitar has many many more decades of life left in it and is ready for its new home. We will meet in a mutually convenient public place to do exchange - thanks for your interest!
