For those who aren't familiar, Dr. Balls builds some amazing hand-wired amps and pedals out of Brooklyn -- currently stocks at Main Drag and does custom work on request. I asked him to build me the ultimate 50-Watt Master Volume Marshall, and he obliged. Photos are his.

So we've got a 2204 here with a few of Tony's special sauce tweaks. That means a nicer low gain channel, dual master volumes for increased flexibility and controllability, a nice effects loop, and a smaller/lighter-weight headcase. It rules, and it sounds awesome. Super clean wiring and high-quality parts, and is in tip-top shape.

Alone, it'll do Hendrix to AC/DC no problem. With a TS-9 or Rat you've got 80s metal, Jawbreaker, any number of Dischord Records bands. It's also a surprisingly effective pedal platform!
