Student Testimonials:

"Atu is an extraordinary teacher/tutor.

He explained how to approach the equations & concepts in a way I could understand without any level of condescension. He never made me feel awkward, inadequate or stupid for struggling even though Math is my most despised enemy.

He is unbelievably patient and even tempered. Even when I was frustrated, he was calm, supportive and kept on task.

Atu never rushed through the things I needed additional explanations. He always took time to re-phrase and find an alternative approach to make sure I understood.

He is a gifted teacher with the ability to explain math to the most math resistant student.

Atu brought me from a D to a B+ final grade. "

- College Algebra student

“Atu is a really good tutor. If you are struggling with a subject or two in school just ask him for help and you’ll be all good to go! I personally struggled with certain math topics when I was in middle school. When I reached out to him for help, scheduled sessions would be made and he would go through a the basics of everything that I should know for that topic. When he explains things, it is pretty straightforward. I remember how sometimes he would even explain things better than my actual teachers would! In addition, he also gives tips and suggestions with websites and apps that are reliable and good for studying. Also, Atu is a patient tutor whereas other tutors might get annoyed or impatient with the kids that they are helping. My math grades definitely improved greatly and I am grateful for the help that I got!”

- Incoming 9th grade student

“Atu helped me this past year a lot. He always made sure to ask if I had any questions and made sure I understood everything. I felt confident when regents came and was very grateful for all the review he had done with me beforehand. I would definitely recommend him to others.”

- 10th grade Geometry student

“I was pressed for time and needed to find an experienced, flexible, and knowledgeable tutor for my son, who is about to take the SHSAT in a few days. Atu turned out to be the ideal match for my son’s needs. Not only was he accommodating to my son’s schedule, but he had the ability to break down and explain complex concepts in simple terms for my 8th grader to grasp. We accomplished so much within a two-month period. A couple of times I would observe the sessions and noticed how focused and serious my son was in his studies. My son learned new strategies and ideas of how to go about taking the SHSAT with confidence. I am extremely satisfied and will be utilizing Atu’s services once again.
Excellent teacher! I would definitely recommend his services.”
