I've toured the US and Europe with bands like Daisy the Great, 54 Ultra, Phoneboy, and Sweet93, and studied jazz at NYU plus West African and Latin rhythms internationally. I teach rock, pop, funk, jazz, punk, salsa, soul, and more–with an emphasis on building confidence through groove, feel, and playing real music (not just exercises).
Who I teach:
* Adult beginners who always wanted to play
* Kids excited about music
* Intermediate/advanced players wanting to level up their musical knowledge and conviction on the instrument
* Musicians looking to improve time, and rhythmic confidence
* Anyone wanting a supportive, no-pressure environment—or a little pressure-cooker of accountability to keep you honest and consistent with your practice routine
What you'll learn: Technique, pocket/groove, coordination, song charting, writing drum parts, ear training, tuning, and much more. I'll meet you where you are–whether you want to jam to your favorite songs or develop a serious practice routine.

* In-home lessons in Brooklyn/Manhattan/Queens (additional travel cost)
