Purchased in 1980 from MMA, this vintage dish lived only in the china cabinet so its condition is excellent - good as new!
Reproduction plate featuring raised red & yellow floral and gold lattice spiral pattern with a scalloped rim. Reads on the back as a “plate” but functionally it is a shallow bowl.
10 5/8" Diameter; 1 3/4" High
On the back:
Stamped “Metropolitan Museum Of Art”
Signed in gold “CH Field Haviland Limoges, Limoges France”
Marked ‘Reproduction of A Hard-Paste Porcelain Plate From The "Private Service" Made For The Empress Elizabeth of Russia At St. Petersburg, About 1760’
