Searching up and down for an apartment. Can you help me? (Astoria)

I’m a family of 3. I am looking for a possible 1-2 bedroom. My credit is not great but I am willing to pay a few months upfront if the apartment is right for us. I am a caretaker for my mother so I am out of the home from early morning until late afternoon sometimes evenings. I am looking for an apartment ASAP and hopefully one that can look past my credit. I don’t party at all and I am a responsible person. I am looking to move in by February 1st.
