This chic Italian designer chair is created by Marco Maran in 2002 for Maxdesign. It's called "So Happy" due to the grin cutaway where the seat and back of the chair meet. At first glance it's a simple black shell chair. Once you take notice of it, it's so much more. A very restrained way to incorporate design into anyone's aesthetic, this piece works nearly anywhere. Black plastic body with sexy chrome legs. Very stable. I purchased it in 2007 from another collector and though it's very much adored, I can't give it the affection it deserves now.
