Gyro City Astoria is looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Kitchen Prep Team Member to join our team! Located at 37-06 30th Ave, Astoria, NY 11103, we are a fast-casual Greek concept built on authenticity, quality ingredients, and warm hospitality. This role is essential to our kitchen’s success, helping ensure everything is prepped, organized, and ready for a smooth and efficient service.
Position Overview:
As a Kitchen Prep Team Member, you will be responsible for preparing ingredients, maintaining a clean workspace, and supporting the kitchen team in delivering high-quality food in a timely manner.
Responsibilities:
-Prepare ingredients (chopping, slicing, portioning, and organizing)
-Maintain cleanliness and organization of all prep and kitchen areas
-Follow recipes and preparation standards consistently
-Assist the kitchen team during busy service periods as needed
-Ensure all food is stored and handled properly
-Help keep the kitchen running smoothly and efficiently
Requirements:
-Previous kitchen or food prep experience preferred
-Ability to stay organized and work efficiently
-Strong attention to detail and cleanliness
-Ability to keep up in a fast-paced environment
-Team player with a positive attitude and strong work ethic
