WÜSTOF are forged and polished, which is superior and much more expensive than other German products that are stamped. HENCKELS IS A STEP ABOVE THE POLISHED ZWILLING, AND THE HENKELS ARE MUCH CHEAPER.
Sandoku alone costs $100, and I know that the block of that tree is made from an old tree that grows in the German forest.
Sandoku show minimal traces of use, as I tested cutting & wiped it. Others (including the block) are never used pristine.
