I am a disabled man who receives a certain number of weekly hours through an agency for my home care. I currently have 14 hours available. I’m looking for someone who can work Tuesday, Thursday and Friday mornings, the following schedule:
You must have an HHA or PCA certificate or be willing to attend a 1-day class that the agency offers so that you may receive your HHA certificate. You must be able to work on the books. The salary is $28.09 per hour, broken down as follows:
The agency pays you $19.09 per hour, on the books.
I supplement that with $9 per hour privately.
This is something of a hybrid position in which the individual works for both the agency and for me.
I cannot do anything for myself physically. Duties include, but are not limited to, getting me washed up, getting me dressed, transferring me in and out of the wheelchair with a ceiling lift (which I would show you how to use), cooking for me, feeding me, taking care of my laundry, assisting with my urinary care, stretching my arms and legs, turning me, and providing massage.
I prefer to often be addressed as tiny or by any other nicknames related to size inadequacy (such as 2-inch). Yes, I am serious about this. I am trying to get used to a physical situation.
