Looking for someone local to assist with small electronics assembly involving electromagnetic coils.
Scope of work:
Work with a 3.5” diameter wound coil, plastic bobbin core
Strip coil leads and solder to a 5-pin connector (leads already prepared)
Attach a hall effect sensor and epoxy it to the inner surface of the coil
Apply heat shrink / insulation as needed
Wrap coil with electrical tape for a clean, finished appearance
All parts and materials will be provided. Work must be clean, consistent, and repeatable.
Requirements:
Strong soldering skills (clean, reliable joints)
Attention to detail — final product must be aesthetically clean
Basic understanding of polarity and handling small electronic components
Must be local (NYC / North Jersey preferred)
Nice to have (not required):
Experience with sensors (hall effect or similar)
Experience with small assembly or production work
Details:
Small initial batch (10–30 units)
Paid per unit (to be discussed)
Potential for ongoing work if it’s a good fit.
I am a boot strap startup and there is more work to come if interested.
Important to note, no hard deadlines, I am flexible on lead time.
