We’re looking for a French-speaking historian and storyteller who loves New York City, its neighborhoods, and its cinematic history. If you’re passionate about history, culture, and movies — and enjoy sharing stories with travelers — this is the perfect opportunity for you.
About the Role:
You’ll lead walking tours around NYC, guiding French-speaking visitors through the city’s most iconic and historic neighborhoods — from Harlem to Brooklyn, Queens, and the Village. We’re looking for someone who can bring New York’s stories to life with energy, humor, and passion.
Ideal Candidate:
Fluent or native in French (English proficiency required)
Passionate about history, movies, and storytelling
Friendly, confident, and engaging with diverse groups
Flexible schedule (work is on call, but we expect 4–5 tours per week or more during high season)
Perfect opportunity for a retired teacher, professor, or guide with strong communication skills
Deep knowledge of New York is a plus, but not required — training will be provided
Compensation:
Pay ranges from $21 to $60+ per hour plus tips, depending on group size and performance
Additional bonuses and incentives for top-performing guides
Start Date:
Immediate – training begins next week.
If you love history, culture, and meeting new people from around the world, we’d love to hear from you.
👉 Apply by sending your resume and a brief introduction (in English or French) about yourself and why you love NYC.
