If you are starting your college application essay, the vast majority of your work is already done. Grades and test scores are, mostly, in. The extracurriculars, the jobs, and the volunteering that set you apart have long been under way.

Most of your application is already a part of history. It's done. Already written. Your essay is your chance to craft that history into your story, to show who you are today, and to convince colleges that they want you to continue your story on their campuses.
I studied linguistics and creative writing at Brown before getting my master's from Columbia's School of Journalism. For a decade I have been providing a wide range of writing services, from copyediting to commissioned magazine stories. I taught English in Japan, have written test prep books, and have coached academic writing from middle school research papers to PhD dissertations.
I know how to help people tell their story, in their voice. I know how to make a story a selling point. My application essay students have gotten into top schools around the world, from Columbia to Tokyo University.
My rates are highly competitive; I suggest a course of three sessions to craft a great personal essay from scratch, but I take students at all points of the writing process, and am happy to work with you on supplemental essays and materials, as well as academic editing at all levels. Please inquire with your goals for a quote.
