Award-winning theatre and community center is seeking a part-time Project Management and Operations Assistant.
Work in a creative environment at The Actors Theatre Workshop, a well-established non-profit theatre, educational institute and community center that has been providing life-changing creative training opportunities to children and adults for 27 years.
The successful applicant will be responsible for the smooth operations of a non-profit theater. S/he will work directly with Senior Staff to manage a myriad of projects. Responsibilities will include managing our studio rental business; administering our Volunteer program by scheduling interviews and coordinating meetings; helping to organize our award-winning community programs and special events and performing a variety of administrative tasks. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a busy office environment where multi-tasking and prioritizing are required. The role will report directly to the Senior Staff of the organization. Those with experience managing projects or in operational roles are encouraged to apply.
This is a great role to gain experience in multiple fields. The scope of duties involved will require close interactions with all other departments of the organization allowing for a unique, in-depth experience in managing a non-profit theater. ATW's team of volunteers, interns, actors and senior management work closely towards the same mission: teaching innovative educational techniques and theatre principles to adults and children from all walks of life. With the award-winning The Builders of the New World program for homeless children, and several other community based programs, ATW has been contributing to the building of better communities and raising the consciousness of people with the power of drama and theatre.
Manage and market ATW's studio rental business
Assist senior staff with intake and management of volunteers by scheduling meetings, managing communication, providing guidance to volunteers in their projects
Organize and coordinate meetings with students and volunteers
Organize community programs and special events
General office upkeep
Oversee maintenance of office supplies and office equipment (printer, copiers, faxes, A/V)
Take meeting notes and send emails and other communications to ATW students, volunteers and other constituents
• Minimum of 3 to 5 years office experience
• Associate / Bachelors Degree
• Hard-working, punctual, personable and positive
• Good computer skills
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Ability to multi-task, think on your feet, and work independently
• Experience in a non-profit theatre is a plus but is not a requirement

This is a 20 hour per week job, with hours varying during the week depending on the theatre's overall schedule. We are open Monday - Saturday from 10:00am - 10:00pm. Occasional Sundays.
