People who have a mental illness needed for mental health documentary (Upper East Side)

My name is Ben Duffy and I have been an independent documentary producer for 14 years. I am looking for people who have a mental illness to share their life experiences and knowledge for a documentary that deeply dives into what mental health looks like in 2024. I am also looking to interview mental health professionals. I was personally diagnosed with bipolar disorder at the age of 23 and I am now 35.

About my documentary career: I started my journey as a documentary professional making a very successful skateboarding film called "We Are Skateboarders" and then wanted to make humanitarian documentaries so I focused on subjects such as autism, adaptive sports, love and sexuality in the physically disabled community, and my latest on mental illness.

Because I have bipolar disorder, mental health awareness is something I am profoundly passionate about, and I aim to bring mental health awareness to a place where there is a true understanding of what empathy and accurate knowledge looks like in this day and age.

If you are interested in being interviewed for this documentary please reply to this posting telling me about you and an appropriate photo just so I know you are real.

Here are 3 examples of my documentary work:
