We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Desktop Support Specialist to join our IT team for a critical Windows 11 migration project. This individual will play a key role in ensuring a seamless transition for all end-users, upgrading existing workstations from Windows 10 to Windows 11, and providing immediate post-migration support. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills and excellent customer service abilities to coordinate and troubleshoot effectively with end-users and the project team.
Job description:
Guide a demanding, time constrained, front office Investment Banking population through a self-service operating migration program in support of an overall system modernization. Working to a Script published by GTI Support Staff, the technician will be able to provide expert advice on all aspects of migration from a Win10 based O/S to a Win11 platform. The ideal candidate will be able to support all Microsoft Office based products (Mac iOS working knowledge would be advantageous) and will be comfortable with guiding the user through Self-Service fault finding. Identify & assist in raising Service Now tickets and report Incident ticket numbers back to Scheduler for genuine breaks to second line support team. Report progress per user daily to project scheduler.

• Mapping a network drive
