Kensington Masterpiece
I'm listing this under Computers but I find it has so many better uses. I own several and use them primarily with stereo equipment and guitar and bass amplifiers. The reason I love using these, well beyond any surge protection, is for the ability to turn individual amps on and off without having to touch the power switch on the amps themselves. Why? First, why wear out the power switches on your vintage amps? Second, I have many amps and combos that have the power switch on the rear. I keep them in a wall unit or rack and this saves me the trouble of reaching behind them. The swivel pedestal can be removed if it bothers you or you don't find it useful. I also use one in a stereo system. Especially useful as my power amps have no power switch. You can also use this as a charging station so you can turn chargers off when not in use to save energy and prolong their life. I also keep lamps plugged in that are otherwise difficult to get to and again to prolong the life of the power switches of my vintage lamps.
It's in perfect operating condition from my non-smoking home. Like most of these units I see in the wild, the color has faded on the top from exposure to sunlight.
