Recently, I had a roommate walk out, on his lease, with six-months remaining.
More recently, someone withdrew his application; because he found a better offer, closer to where he worked.
C’est la vie.
So, I’m looking to find a roommate, that is willing and capable, of taking over the remainder of his lease; with the option, to sign a new one, after May 31st, 2026.
Move-in date: January 1st.
If you need housing sooner; we can discuss.
The apartment is a two-bedroom, one-bathroom; third floor, walk-up; in a brownstone building, circa 1901; gut-renovated, in the 90’s.
It is privately owned.
Please be prepared, to pass a credit-check, and a background screening, for the landlord.
The building, is right near the corner of 132nd, & Fifth Avenue.
It’s nearest, to the 135th street station, on the 2/3 subway line.
The 4/5/6, @125th street, is accessible; just, further away.
The bedroom, is about 7’x14’x10’(h), with a window, looking out, on the backyard.
It has a closet, inset, into those dimensions, and full-use of another closet, in the hallway; if need/desire, be.
It comes with a small, window-mounted, A/C unit; currently, un-installed.
The last two photos, are of the bedroom.
Since those photos; I have patched, and painted, the room, myself.
As mentioned, the rent for the second bedroom, is $1100/month. The utilities, usually come to about $120, per month.
Upgraded Internet, with WiFi; included, with utilities.
Currently, there are no pets, allowed.
But, depending, upon the animal; we can talk.
No cats.
I am a 42 year-old, stagehand; A current member of IATSE Local One. So, I have built the majority of the structures in this apartment, from scratch; mostly, by myself.
I even brought my own kitchen faucet.
So, if you want to build a loft bed; it would be the sturdiest thing you’ve ever slept upon; and, I could build it for less than a something, from IKEA.
Please, send a message, as an introduction, to my Google voice number; listed, within this ad.
