MakerOS is an end-to-end management platform for the design, prototype, and production workflow of digital and physical products. We're looking for a front-end developer to join our team and help us build a next generation interactive experience for our platform.
Your main focus will be on front-end development with a critical eye for building great user interfaces and experiences. We're committed to providing the best platform for companies to use as the foundation to start and grow their own businesses.
This position offers a great deal of flexibility, responsibility, and opportunity for the right candidate. We are a small organization, and you will be a key member of our team. Your contributions will significantly shape the technical and business direction of our organization.
MakerOS is already a big project with interesting and original solutions. You will help us create our next generation system. There are many areas where you will be challenged in your coding ability, but most importantly problem solving, resourcefulness, and visual creativity.
Many of our modules are interconnected via micro services and will touch on concepts such as:
Automated supply chain and resource planning
User defined automations
3D CAD file processing
Fabrication machine interfaces
Applied knowledge of modern development principles and best practices (Object Oriented Programming, Design Patterns, SOLID Principles, unit testing, continuous integration and deployment)
UI/UX Design and Architecture
Ability to produce low, mid, and high resolution wireframes and prototypes
Experience with JSON & API consumption within your interfaces
Experience with AWS
Ability to write documentation
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Git use and workflow
Proficient in Adobe creative suite (Photoshop/Illustrator)
Knowledge of digital fabrication processes or other manufacturing methods
CAD + 3D modeling experience
Experience using Vagrant
Knowledge and interest in distributed ledger technologies
A deep interest in creating the best possible user experience
