Available November 1st, I’m looking for a roommate to share my incredible 2 bed / 1.5 bath duplex in the East Village. It is conveniently located off Ave A, one block from the M14A, a 7 minute walk to the F train, and a 10 minute walk to the L. The apartment is truly massive by Manhattan standards — 1,147 sq ft inside plus an enormous 900 sq ft backyard that’s completely private to our unit. I’ve lived here for 6 years, and it’s genuinely a magical, peaceful retreat. The apartment faces the back of the building on a quiet block, so street noise is practically non-existent.

The Room:
• Located on the first floor, facing the backyard
• Easily fits a king bed, dresser, and additional furniture
• Spacious 6-foot-wide closet with plenty of storage
• Extra storage space downstairs plus additional closets if needed
• My bedroom is downstairs, so we’ll have completely separate spaces

The Apartment:
• Huge living room (I have a 10-ft couch and it still feels roomy)
• Kitchen with ample cooking space, dishwasher, and reverse osmosis filtered water
• Laundry in the basement (card-operated)
• 1.5 bathrooms for added convenience

Rent & Utilities:
• The total rent for the apartment is $6,700– so $3,350/month each plus utilities (electric and WiFi)
• Weekly professional cleaning: $60 each (total $120)
• I know it’s not cheap — but it’s a rare chance to live in a beautiful, spacious home instead of a cramped shoebox!

About Me:
I’m a 36-year-old female small business owner, also working in real estate and performing burlesque part-time. I share the space with my sweet, hairless cat Madonna (friendly, doesn’t scratch furniture, automatic cleaning litterbox kept downstairs). I keep a clean, calm home — no shoes inside, no dirty dishes left out, and no late-night parties.

I’m looking for a like-minded roommate who values a clean, respectful, and relaxed living space. Ideally no couples or pets (but open-minded), with good credit and income. Flexible lease options, but would prefer someone committed 6 months- 1 year
