Looking for a cool roommate that likes dogs to take one bedroom in a three-bedroom apartment in East Village / Alphabet City. This is a fantastic location--close to tons of cool places and restaurants, including Tomkins Square Park, UCB East, Mercury Lounge, a Belgian waffle cafe, and a lots of bars. Quick walk to F, J, M and Z subway stops, and on the same block as a 24-hour grocery store and pharmacy. This place is smackdab in one of the most awesome neighborhoods in New York!

The apartment has private access to a gigantic courtyard with lots of light, good for throwing parties or just enjoying a quiet cup of coffee. We're at the back end of the building and only share one wall with neighbors, so the apartment is an eye of the storm in an otherwise energetic neighborhood.

It's a true bedroom that comes unfurnished, and can fit a queen-sized bed. Ample closet space and storage above the closet, too. Large window facing the private courtyard because dreams do come true. The kitchen has a gas stove and a dishwasher. I moved in last August and unfortunately my roommate is moving to Texas but I would love to find someone who enjoys the space as much as we do.

ME: I'm a female in my mid twenties, very sociable and friendly. I'm chatty in the living room but quiet once I'm in my bedroom. I have friends over for low-key dinner parties and hanging out, but nothing too loud or crazy. My day job is in foreign exchange finance at a boutique investment firm in Midtown. I like standup comedy, theatre, wine, fiction novels, being outdoors, and live music. I have a sweet 2 y/o mutt named Sasha.

YOU: This is ideal for a young professional or student who wants to be close to the action in NYC but have a quiet place to come home to. Send me a little about yourself including your interests, how you gel as a roommate, and what you do (hint: can you pay rent regularly?). How long are you looking to stay?

Apartment is available MAY 1ST, 2018 with a presumed move-in date of the last weekend in April or first weekend of May. First/Last month's rent and a security deposit.
