I am selling a vintage rare Auto-Takumar 55mm f/2.2 prime lens.
Actually, I have two of these lenses:
- one is working but in poor cosmetic condition - for $40
(the filter ring has one or two small dings but it still allows to screw-in a 46mm filter)
- another lens is in very good condition - for $70.
Auto-Takumar 55mm f/2.2 is a very sharp lens and it gives this nice vintage look to images. The Auto Takumar renders very distinct and beautiful colors.
With 10 front-mounted aperture blades/irises this lens produces a very pleasing smooth bokeh (effect desired by many photographers and filmmakers).
It is a very small, and very well built all-metal lens.
The focus ring is smooth and the preset aperture works well. The aperture blades are clean and dry.
Optics are clear without haze or fungus but there are some light cleaning marks and very small scratches that will not have any impact on your image quality. The body of the lens is a bit beat-up.
The lens works well in the state its in and produces nice photos.
Universal M42 screw mount of this lens means that you can use this lens almost on any brand DSLR today in manual mode (with cheap adapters available on Amazon, eBay, etc.)!
Please include your cell phone number in your email. Thanks.
