Our client, a foundation, is seeking an Associate to join their Grant Operations team. They are looking for an individual who can juggle multiple projects while collaborating and adapting in a fast-paced office environment. The hours are 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. or 9:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m. with flexibility and minimal overtime. This role is hybrid, with three days in office in Manhattan (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday) and two days remote (Wednesday and Friday).
Responsibilities:
* Oversee the grantmaking lifecycle from pre-award through closure, ensuring compliance and consistency in process
* Prepare and manage grant agreements, budgets, deliverables, and reporting schedules
* Maintain and update grants database, producing reports and data analyses for leadership and Finance teams
* Review grant budgets, financial reports, and modification requests for accuracy and compliance
* Collaborate with Legal and Finance on due diligence, compliance, and audit support
* Provide guidance and day-to-day support on grant operations processes, data, and regulatory requirements
Job Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree required with 3+ years of work experience, including at least 1 year in grantmaking
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail
* Experience using and maintaining relational databases; proficiency in Excel preferred
* Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines with minimal oversight
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments and levels
* Self-starter who is curious, adaptable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment
Compensation/Benefits:
* up to $87,500 base salary plus bonus
* Medical, dental, and vision coverage with employer contribution
* 401(k) with 5% match and 5% profit sharing
* Paid vacation, sick days, and 11 paid holidays, including office closure between Christmas and New Year's
