label inside says A. Galiano FABBRICANTE DI Chitarre e Mandolini
period-correct refabricated pyramid bridge
plays well; cosmetic issues but this guitar is about 100 years old
Although many Galiano guitars were relabeled Stellas made by Oscar Schmidt, a fair number of them were made by independent Italian American luthiers such as Antonio Cerrito, Raphael Ciani, and Joseph Nettuno. Still others were purchased from various large Chicago factories like Kay, Regal and Harmony.
