I do not know the story of the finish. Seems like a Red with a nice distress relic to natural by previous owners. I had the guitar set up, frets leveled and dressed to perfection, and nut replaced with a custom one by the greatest guitar luthier in the country. Perfect set up for the neck for .11s and makes her play like no other Telecaster. This is a player of serious vibe, with serious mojo. Ask any questions.
