Coolman Coffeedan is looking for a part-time NYC-based creative producer / 2D animation assistant to help make weird, funny, character-driven internet videos. This is a hands-on role inside a small creator-led animation studio. The goal is to help turn loose ideas, sketches, voice memos, characters, and half-formed concepts into finished posts.
Schedule: Monday–Wednesday preferred, in-person preferred, open to remote.
Compensation: $40,000/year equivalent, starting with a paid trial period.
Responsibilities:
- Help create short-form animated videos for Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, etc.
- Assist with rough 2D animation, animatics, edits, captions, sound, and exports.
- Turn rough ideas into organized creative drafts.
- Keep a simple content calendar moving.
- Pull references, suggest ideas, and help spot what could work online.
- Prep files/assets for posts and brand projects.
- Help keep the studio organized and in motion week to week.
You should be:
- Strong with 2D animation, motion graphics, editing, or visual storytelling.
- Comfortable with Adobe tools / After Effects / Premiere / Photoshop / Illustrator, or similar.
- Organized and reliable.
- Funny, tasteful, and internet-aware.
- Proactive without needing constant hand-holding.
- Excited by weird animation, character comedy, and creator-led IP.
