Seeking an Art studio assistant to help launch an artist's career. This position includes a dual focus on both artistic and administrative tasks to support the artist's creative process and business and marketing operations. Key responsibilities include assisting with managing the studio environment, handling administrative duties like scheduling and communication with exhibitions and galleries, and assisting with social media and marketing to promote the artist's work. Artistic and studio support
• Assist with the fabrication of artwork, such as preparing canvases, mixing paints, or helping with installations.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked studio, ensuring all necessary supplies and equipment are readily available.
• Perform general studio upkeep, including cleaning and organizing materials.
• Contribute to the creation of artwork by helping with specific techniques or tasks as directed by the artist.
Administrative and business management
• Manage the artist's schedule, including meetings, appointments, and travel.
• Act as a point of contact for galleries, collectors, and other professionals by answering phones and emails.
• Handle administrative tasks like data entry, filing, and preparing correspondence.
• Assist with financial record-keeping and manage invoices or expense reports.
• Coordinate logistics for exhibitions, including shipping and installation.
Marketing and promotion
• Help manage the artist's social media presence by coordinating, helping to create content, and work with a team to schedule posts.
• Assist with marketing initiatives and the creation of promotional content.
• Update the artist's website or other online profiles with new work and information.
Key qualifications
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Proficiency with relevant software for administration and social media.
• A proactive and problem-solving attitude.

• The ability to take direction and work independently in a timely manner
