The practice of Chakra Energizing is over 5,000 years old. It is an old Sanskrit word which means: the union of mind body and breath.
CELEBRITY DEVOTEES ABOUND
Many celebrity devotees attributes their success and well-being to regular Chakra Energizing practice: Mathew McConaughey, David Beckham, Britney Spears, Justin Timberlake, Jessica Biel, Madonna, Justin Timberlake, Jennifer Aniston, Russell Brand, Shaquille O’Neal, Aston Kutcher, Lady Gaga, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Adam Levine, Gisele Bundchen, Orlando Bloom, Marilyn Monroe, Robert Downey Jr., Heidi Klum, Meghan Markel, Reese Witherspoon, Colin Farrell, Beyoncé, Tom Hanks, Jessica Alba, Drew Barrymore, Eva Longoria, Russell Simmons, Sting, and many more.
Russell Brand (actor) attributes his remarkable transformation, including being a more compassionate person, better artist, and overcoming drug addition to his daily practice.
TURBO CHARGE THE INNER GAME
Whether you are a doctor, astronaut, lawyer, high powered-nutcracker, writer, postal worker, musician, athlete, etc. , Chakra Energizing can greatly help you with the inner game. Virtually every endeavor has an outer game and inner game. The outer game consists of learning given moves, by breaking them into smaller morsels and drilling each one to commit it to “muscle memory”.
Breath-work exercises can exponentially help you with the inner game, because it trains the mind to be still, and be present in the moment. For example, in tennis, without this training of the mind beforehand, games and matches which should not be lost (because of good game mechanics) can easily be lost, because instead of being present in the moment, dealing with the situation at hand, the person may lament how he foolishly lost the previous game. And once the person has lost discipline of the mind in this way, without halting it, matches can needlessly be lost. And the converse is true; that is, strong mental discipline and relatively mediocre mechanics can win the day!
It doesn’t take a long time. A few minutes of practice will make you more mentally awake and happier. Try the following exercise:
Step 1: Stand comfortably, evenly on your two feet, shoulder width. Then notice your breath. Breathe deeply. That is, breathe into your stomach. Try to stay away from shallow chest breathing because you want maximum oxygen in your body and mind. Take a few minutes just to focus on your breath. Next, it is time to link your breath and movement.
Step 2: You will do a gentle stretch. When you breathe in, raise your arms. And when you breathe out, lower your arms. Keep your shoulders down and relax your hands.
If you wish, you can spend 10 minutes doing just this. You will get immediate benefit, and feel a shift.
Later, you will do more involved movements to take you to the next level. We will explore a beginner's sequence: salutation to the sun, which incorporates all the key yoga poses in one continuous movement. Once you learn the sequence, you can do it every morning, for a powerful beginning to your day, to put you in the physical and mental frame of mind to accomplish your goals.
Firmly believe you are the master of your destiny! You are made and unmade by your thoughts, which slowly and incrementally manifest into your reality. Accept responsibility for where you are today, because that is the only way you can set a course to a better place. Your number one goal in life is to discipline your mind and work on self-mastery every day.
