COLUMBIA UNIV. TUTOR 6th-12th Reading/Writing/Homework/Exec.Function (Upper East Side)

I work with students during the school year and over the summer on their reading, writing, and executive function skills. We choose books and topics that interest the student, and practice close reading skills in all genres. In many cases, I support students with their school assignments and projects.

I am a Columbia University, Teachers College-trained mentor teacher and curriculum writer with a highly successful record of 16 years experience tutoring, teaching and training teachers.

I also work with students grades 6 through graduate school on executive functioning skills, such as:

- organizational tactics
- cognitive/emotional resilience
- time management
- attention and focus

I am currently tutoring students to:

- improve reading and writing proficiency.
- assist in completion or editing of homework/projects.
- increase confidence in reading, writing and public speaking.
- write their very best personal essays for colleges.
- write and edit outstanding, thoughtful high school and college papers.
- organize and create the best conditions for time management and optimal learning environments.

Students find me to be funny, kind, engaging and motivating. I connect well with students who have not been sufficiently intellectually stimulated in their classes, as well as students who face various learning challenges.

Initial consultation is free. Fee range $75-150 per hour.

All services are confidential.
