I have a Master's degree from Columbia University, where I work as a consultant, mentor teacher and curriculum writer. I have 17 years of experience tutoring students, teaching and training teachers.
Currently, I am working with students grades 6 through graduate school on executive functioning skills, such as:
- organizational strategies
- cognitive/emotional resilience
- time management
- attention and focus
- task initiation
- test-taking skills
- study skills
I am also working with students to:
- prepare for Hunter College High School Entrance Exam
- prepare for SHSAT improve reading and writing proficiency.
- assist in completion or editing of homework/projects.
- increase confidence in reading, writing and public speaking.
- write their very best personal and supplemental essays for colleges.
- write and edit outstanding, thoughtful high school and college papers.
- organize and create the best conditions for time management and optimal learning environments.
- improve ELA and Math scores
Students find me to be fun and funny, kind and motivating. I connect well with students who have not been sufficiently intellectually stimulated in their classes, as well as students who face various learning challenges.
