Publishing a research paper begins with identifying a focused research question, structuring your argument clearly, and selecting the right journal for your field. In this course, you’ll learn how to use tools like Overleaf (LaTeX), ChatGPT, and BibTeX to draft, format, and cite your work properly. You’ll also gain hands-on experience with platforms like Preprints MDPI, SSRN, and Mid-tier journals for fast and open preprint publication. By the end, you’ll be able to produce a submission-ready paper with all the supporting metadata needed for indexing and visibility.
Having a peer-reviewed publication strengthens your academic or professional profile by demonstrating original contributions to your field. It shows that your ideas are valuable, citable, and recognized by independent experts. During this workshop, you’ll also learn how to track citations, set up Google Scholar and ORCID, and promote your work on platforms like LinkedIn and ResearchGate — all of which build a discoverable and credible scholarly presence.
For EB1A or EB2-NIW green card petitions, publications are a critical form of evidence. They directly support the "original scientific contribution" and "authorship of scholarly articles" criteria. If your paper is cited, shared, or discussed in academic or applied settings, that becomes strong proof of your impact. Through this course, you’ll not only write and submit a paper — you’ll also learn how to document it in a way that aligns with USCIS expectations and immigration success.
