Small law firm is seeking a seasoned employment attorney to team and collaborate with the firm on employment cases with screening prospective clients, making recommendations on potential representation, and handling employment matters engaged by the firm.
Excellent opportunity for someone looking for a teaming opportunity with a flexible work arrangement and opportunity to manage a client portfolio without having to generate one's own leads.
We are looking for an experienced employment litigator to speak with and vet new prospective plaintiff clients primarily via telephone and e-mail regarding employment matters. This will require screening potential employment clients for wrongful termination, harassment, and discrimination claims and wage-and-hour matters, such as failure to pay minimum wages and overtime. The position is intended to give the attorney the ability to make recommendations on selecting or declining representation in collaboration with the firm's managing attorney. Thereafter, it is anticipated that the attorney will take a substantial role with new client engagements, including potential contingent fee matters, by strategizing potential claims, drafting demand letters, negotiating pre-litigation settlements, and/or litigating cases in collaboration with the firm's managing attorney.
This is a flexible position that allows for flexible hours, self-management, and work from home or elsewhere. Compensation is subject to discussion with the right person, but will entail a percentage of receivables generated by the attorney, allowing for significant upside potential.
