We are recruiting on behalf of a renowned luxury hospitality group seeking an experienced Executive Steward to oversee stewarding operations at a high-profile property in New York City. This position is ideal for a detail-driven leader who excels in fast-paced, back-of-house environments and is passionate about maintaining impeccable standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and coordinate all stewarding team activities, including dishwashing and kitchen sanitation
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and cleanliness standards
Manage inventory, equipment maintenance, and supplies
Collaborate with culinary and operations teams to support seamless service
Schedule and train a stewarding team of 10–20+ employees
Monitor BOH workflows and implement efficiency protocols
Required Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in stewarding or back-of-house operations (preferably in hotels, resorts, or high-volume fine dining restaurants)
At least 2+ years in a leadership role (Executive Steward, Stewarding Manager, or similar)
Fluent in Spanish and English – must be able to effectively communicate with a diverse team
Knowledge of NYC Health Department regulations and sanitation standards
Proven ability to manage teams of 10–20+, including scheduling, training, and performance management
Experience overseeing inventory control, equipment maintenance, and chemical handling
Flexible schedule – ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays
