From around 1930, this rare Swank skull and crossbones tie clip, also known as a tie bar, has blood-red eyes -- and so do I from researching this and squinting to read the writing on back! There is a general patent number for the clip mechanism, and it also says: SWANK KLIP in block letters (not the newer curved letters) and then says B.&W. PLATE. B&W stood for Baer & Wilde but by the mid 1930s, Swank had abandoned the B&W part of their name. $150
